Everyone wants to be fit and healthy, but not all find the motivation every day to go to the gym or pull weights in their living room. The one thing that helps is working out with friends – when one is feeling demotivated, the rest can cheer them up and inspire them to continue the workout.

But as is often the case, you and your friends may not always live in the same neighborhood, the same city, or even the same country. So working out together is not possible. Or is it?

The Vision Behind the App

Fit Together came to life on a mission to allow groups of friends to sync workout DVDs and exercise together in real time anywhere in the world. The founder wanted to create the first social fitness application that would give users the opportunity to interact via onscreen chat and text while simultaneously viewing the same workout DVD. So he partnered with Scopic, a fitness software development and desktop application development company, to bring his idea to life and give people the motivation they needed to commit to a workout routine.

The moving image has been keeping us entertained for over a century now. Video content helps you to be concise and capture viewers’ interest, so it is no wonder that videos are becoming the most popular content type on social media. However, with businesses and brands constantly competing for attention on social media, videos you create need to be memorable and have that ‘wow’ factor to grab the viewers’ attention from the first seconds.

The Vision Behind the App

Virtuacast envisioned a mobile application that would allow its users to produce viral videos featuring holograms. They wanted to enable the app users to create life size holograms to view and interact with and later share the resulting videos on social channels. They partnered with Scopic to work on this sophisticated vision.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic developers worked on Virtuacast, an app that generates life-size holograms of people (such as famous actors, athletes, and celebrities), animals, or animated characters from the app’s library. The application then enables its users to share the resulting videos or photos via Twitter and Facebook.

The system requires a special mat that is set on the ground and an accompanying mobile app. The hologram appears in view of the mobile device’s camera where the mat is set.

Scopic developed this solution both for iOS and Android.

In multi-media campaigns, billboards take a considerable part of the budget. This is because it has proven to affect audience reach if the ad is done correctly – particularly in sporting events. The goal may be to increase awareness, call to action or directly influence sales. However, it can be difficult to understand how effective a billboard actually is. And its use and effectiveness are often not analyzed but rather taken for granted or vaguely estimated.

Sporting events largely depend on ad spend and consumption. But businesses looking to promote through billboards not only need to know where they are available but also have some guarantee and transparency for the services.

The Vision Behind the App

The Brand Analysis tool was thought up to help tackle this issue. The idea was to apply smart technology to the world of advertising as a way to substantially streamline the work that goes into building ad campaigns. The company noticed a gap in the attempt to provide smarter opportunities to the sporting events market when it came to making decisions regarding which ads were to be visible and at what price.

Their vision of innovative improvement aligned with Scopic team’s experience, and thus they reached out and discussed our technology solutions.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic designed and developed The Brand Analysis application using C++, C# along with Computer Vision Algorithms. The software’s unique design represented a video and advertisement application that was programmed to detect and find advertising billboards in sporting events automatically. The application was tailor-made to record, gauge, and then determine:

The time frame for which each billboard was visible

The position of the billboard

And more!

These statistics could then be used for analytics and pricing.

Video segmentation involves the process of partitioning video sequences into separate sets of consecutive frames, created after the montage. These are often referred to as shots.

Shots vary in size and type of data sets. This creates ambiguity and without the proper algorithm may result in occlusion, deformation, motion blur, and scale variation.

The company aimed to provide a robust solution that would overcome such difficulties and enable users to detect scene changes easily. This would provide enormous opportunities for people who are enthusiastic about analyzing and using video data.

The Vision Behind the App

Celebrity Video Chat came to life when its founder decided to create an interactive online application that would mimic the voice, the face and even the expressions of people’s favorite celebrities. The vision behind the app was to give people the opportunity of experiencing something special, something they might never encounter in real life. So he partnered with Scopic, a leading software development company, to create a web app that uses artificial intelligence and gives people the feeling of chatting to their favorite celebrities.

The Scopic Solution

Celebrity Video Chat joined forces with Scopic to build and design an interactive web application with a responsive design. The app is based on Javascript, OpenTok, and PHP.

The Challenge

While different communication means are widely available today, many companies, including Scopic, still opt against using third-party tools. Effective internal communication allows for easy collaboration and sharing of ideas over chats, calls and video conferences. In addition, a branded company communication tool ensures the security of both company and client data, keeping all the correspondence within the organization.

The Vision

Our CEO Tim Burr, wanted to create a VoIP communication tool that would be developed with custom features by Scopic themselves. He wanted to have an application that would allow for group chats, one-on-one conversations, video/audio calls along with the option of screen sharing.

The Solution

Kreo was created by the Scopic team as a VoIP communication tool that’s similar to Skype. It was custom developed to ensure seamless and secure communication among Scopic employees around the world. Built with third-party chat engine Pubnub and call servicer Twilio, the app supports both one-on-one and group chats, voice and video calls, and screen-sharing. It also features an exclusive set of animated emojis to help users demonstrate reactions.

Scopic teams currently use Kreo for internal discussions; future versions of the app will see the inclusion of clients and other external parties. This app provides our workforce with a more streamlined and secure communication workflow.

The creators of InterviewFocus know how challenging it can be to excel in an interview, so they aspired to share their knowledge and help people improve their interview skills. They wanted to create a web application full of useful resources and guidance, as well as increase engagement with their target audience and empower more individuals to get their dream jobs.

The Scopic Solution

InterviewFocus turned to Scopic to build their custom cloud-based web application platform. The app provides an innovative job interview simulation that includes 12-15 industry specific questions. Our team of web developers leveraged computer vision, real-time media streaming, speech recognition software, video processing and video chat room technology to provide users with a realistic interview experience. The application also offers an evaluation of the user’s soft skills based on their engagement level and speech rate.

We focused greatly on the system design and usability to exhibit unique software technology with a user-friendly interface. The InterviewFocus web application enables the buying and scheduling of one-on-one consultations, in order to gain more personalized feedback from a specialized coach. And to provide admin users with a detailed overview of all user communication channels, financial and statistical reports, and coupon functionalities, an administration panel was built into the system too.

So, it becomes challenging to offer a game that sticks. Kids want lots of colors, realistic effects, and unpredictable activities going on. Current amusements often tend to be repetitive and boring.

The Vision Behind the App

Sprite Labs’ vision was to focus on graphics and animation development to make a game appealing to children of different ages. They aimed to enrich it with several visual and vocal effects, custom outfits, hairstyles, games, and activities. By paying attention to every detail, they would get closer to the perfect game for kids. In order to achieve these types of realistic interactions, they contacted Scopic.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic developed the Talking Anya app. Anya is a joyful animated character. She loves playing with kids, dressing up differently, dancing, and blowing bubbles. Our animation experts provided Talking Anya with a multiplayer mode, just by getting two devices close to each other. The character provides numerous realistic interactions such as:

Hula Hoop: Move the phone in circles when she is holding the hoop to twirl it

Heart: Anya will tell you, “I love You”. But she will cry if you tap to break the heart

Catch falling flowers. Make sure to avoid the bugs and spiders that come your way!

Tap her feet and Anya does a dance.

“Tap tap tap” or swipe her belly to tickle her.
