The Challenge of Being a Fan

Everyone has a favorite celebrity or an iconic influencer that they wish they could connect and have a real conversation with. The truth is, most of us never get to experience meeting our idols or having a chat with them. You have to be either extremely lucky or extremely crazy and willing to throw yourself on the stage during a concert to experience anything remotely close to having a conversation with your favorite celebrity!

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all get the chance to talk with our idols?

The Vision Behind the App

Celebrity Video Chat came to life when its founder decided to create an interactive online application that would mimic the voice, the face and even the expressions of people’s favorite celebrities. The vision behind the app was to give people the opportunity of experiencing something special, something they might never encounter in real life. So he partnered with Scopic, a leading software development company, to create a web app that uses artificial intelligence and gives people the feeling of chatting to their favorite celebrities.

The Scopic Solution

Celebrity Video Chat joined forces with Scopic to build and design an interactive web application with a responsive design. The app is based on Javascript, OpenTok, and PHP.

Because of this many job seekers are on the lookout for guidance and interview support. It is not always easy though, to  find the perfect place to improve and work upon critical skills that can make the difference between failing and nailing an interview.

The Vision

The creators of InterviewFocus know how challenging it can be to excel in an interview, so they aspired to share their knowledge and help people improve their interview skills. They wanted to create a web application full of useful resources and guidance, as well as increase engagement with their target audience and empower more individuals to get their dream jobs.

The Scopic Solution

InterviewFocus turned to Scopic to build their custom cloud-based web application platform. The app provides an innovative job interview simulation that includes 12-15 industry specific questions. Our team of web developers leveraged computer vision, real-time media streaming, speech recognition software, video processing and video chat room technology to provide users with a realistic interview experience. The application also offers an evaluation of the user’s soft skills based on their engagement level and speech rate.
We focused greatly on the system design and usability to exhibit unique software technology with a user-friendly interface. The InterviewFocus web application enables the buying and scheduling of one-on-one consultations, in order to gain more personalized feedback from a specialized coach. And to provide admin users with a detailed overview of all user communication channels, financial and statistical reports, and coupon functionalities, an administration panel was built into the system too.

ZoomRadar company acknowledged this as a challenge that could be overcome. They aimed at creating a tool that would help both regular users and developers. By facilitating this data attainment in regards to quick weather changes, it would also represent a way to prevent real damages from happening in severe conditions. The solution would require experience in the weather industry and geodata, so ZoomRadar contacted Scopic to further their ideas.

ZoomRadar is an interactive weather application based on google-maps and OpenStreetMaps. It displays live weather radar using NOAA high-resolution images. It allows the radar to display the weather change within the last two hours. It also features other weather services like severe warnings, temperatures, winds, storm tracks, storm reports, storm chasers and so on. There is an interactive weather builder for clients to generate maps with their coordinates and parameters. Its robust features include:

A storm chaser’s purpose is to observe storms for enjoyment. Chasers are out there to witness, experience, and capture photos and videos of storms. In addition, they are also essential in the warning process. Detecting and confirming a tornado in real-time can play a deciding factor in its outcomes. However, for the development of such a solution, advanced applications like higher-resolution dual-pol radar technology are needed. This requires specific experience, knowledge and expertise on the matter, which is often costly and difficult to rely on.

The Vision Behind the App

Zoom Radar aimed to provide an accurate way for users to get warned in time. They believed they could become a part of the pursuit of any severe weather condition. The company’s vision consisted in correctly forecasting and intercepting tornadoes, hurricanes, and thunderstorms.
They reached out to Scopic and started working on a solution.

Scopic worked together with Zoom Radar and built the Storm Chasing web application. The app showcases a map and an integrated live weather radar. Its optimal vantage points allow users to track and view live storm chasing videos. In addition, the storm is updated in real-time, achieving the proper accuracy on the chasing process.
