The Coloring Challenge Summarized

Coloring books are a form of adult therapy that has seen a growth in popularity since 2010. What used to be an engaging activity for children, currently is reemerging as a trend grown-ups are coming to prefer. Although it is proven to be helpful in lowering stress and anxiety levels throughout the daily pressures of life, it may become challenging to fully embrace such a trend.

This comes due to the struggle adults phase to unplug themselves from specific routines at work or home that are often time-consuming and distracting. Naturally, the idea of finding and using coloring books is not prioritized in our daily tasks.

The Vision Behind the App

Sprite Labs is a company with a vast interest in the entertainment industry. In 2014, it released Mini Monet, a Creative Studio with state-of-the-art drawing tools designed for kids. This soon became an award-winning iOS app with improved coloring features. Later on, the company received feedback from Grandmas and Parents saying they found it appealing to use Mini Monet as well.

Sprite Labs envisioned the entertaining effects of their product applicable to adults. However, adults experience things differently so they knew this would need a deeper approach. The app should now serve as a way to apply the meditative technique above all. As they say: “When the heart is heavy, a person may be all wounded and it is tough to draw a single line because the hand quivers due to built up emotion.”

Hence, aiming to help users relax and bring down stress, Sprite Labs reached out to Scopic to develop their next product in mind.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic designed the Chroma application specifically for adults. The mobile experts developed a user-friendly and responsive iOS app with natural coloring tools like pencil, marker, and brush.

The user could intuitively mix any color, texture, and gradient to create unique images and personalize each coloring page. The interesting interface also included a unique outline tool with which the user could complement the existing coloring page outline and add extra details, which could then be colored inside. In addition, the user could interactively share their work on different social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

After its release, Chroma Coloring Book was featured in “New apps we love” and “Coloring books” by Apple.

However, managing social media on a daily basis becomes challenging for companies because of all the data tracking and time investment needed. Constantly publishing, engaging, monitoring trends, and running analytics is no easy task.

The Vision Behind the App

HelpSocial envisioned a better approach to social media management for enterprises. They wanted to build an application that shows details about those who mention the company’s brand on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

After creating a web platform that helped companies reach global scalability and improve engagement, HelpSocial found a need for a mobile extension. They reached out to Scopic to start creating the app.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic created a mobile extension of the HelSocial web application. HelpSocial Mobile captures details about the users who mention your brand on such social media platforms. This helps companies with social listening, audience research, and building strong relationships with customers. The mobile app also presents an added convenience for smartphone users.

The Meditation Application Challenge

In our daily lives, there is a lot of noise, bustle, and chaos. Oftentimes the gadgets we own only compound the stress by having us be ‘online’ 24/7, which makes it even harder to unplug and unwind. Since completely omitting phones and computers is also unrealistic, the challenge is then to create a tool or application that leverages these gadgets to help us improve our mental health.

The Vision Behind the App

The company behind Connect Meditation envisioned an application that would provide various types of meditation suitable for larger audience. The goal was to have an application that would let users customize their meditation journeys and build an experience unique to their needs. With this idea in mind, the company reached out to Scopic to begin developing the health app.

The Scopic Solution

Connect Meditation is an example of a health app that provides access to numerous meditation videos, useful for different everyday situations. All meditations are split into a variety of topics and programs. Users are awarded upon completion of each meditation, program or topic, so they can easily track their progress and share it with friends.

The Surgical Planning Challenge

Surgical planning, exploring and fine-tuning can be a challenge without a software to support the work. When MedCAD biomedical engineers develop a surgeon’s plan, there’s a need for an application, where they can easily make their work available for surgeons.

The market was in need of a solution that would make the manufacturing of custom medical devices fast and efficient.

The Vision Behind the App

And so the AccuPlan app came to life, making it possible for surgeons to fully explore, fine tune, and submit approvals to their orthognathic, craniofacial or cranial implant planning. These approvals facilitate fast and efficient manufacturing of custom medical devices. Moreover, the founder had a vision of creating a virtual prescription pad for any custom cranio-maxillofacial or orthognathic procedure that required surgical planning. So he joined forces with Scopic to build an application that will be not only a viewer for the evaluation of a surgical plan submitted to MedCAD, but it will also be a tool for case submission, commentary and approval.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic, as a medical software development company, partnered with AccuPlan to build and design an iOS application that would revolutionize the way surgical plans are submitted. The solution came to life with cross platform application development, geometric algorithms, 3D, C++ and other tools. When creating the app some of our activities involved:
