The Geolocation Application Challenge

Globetrotting has become increasingly more popular in recent years, creating a need and even a desire to document and track one’s travels. The challenge is to create a simple, no-frills app that lets travellers leave their mark on the world.

The Vision Behind the App

The company behind ThoughtFi envisioned an app that would let users mark their location along with a text message and photo. To make the app more accessible it was important to allow for login via major social media platforms. With this idea in mind, the company reached out to Scopic to begin developing the geolocation app.

The Scopic Solution

ThoughtFi is an application where users can post their marks on a location. A mark is a user’s thought including location, text message, and a photo. Users can post comments to another user’s marks. The users can log-in by using OAuth 2.0 (Facebook, Google+, Twitter), or they can sign-up and log-in using their email address. They can share their marks, search other’s marks around their locations and view a map showing all the marks globally.

A Trip to the Zoo

Make a Trip To The Zoo Without Moving From Your Seat

Learning About Animal Kingdoms and All Its Wonders

The Zoo Challenge

Many people enjoy visiting zoos, connecting with animals, and learning about the wonders of the world. But a trip to the zoo comes with a lot of unchartered territories and questions like how many types of species are there, and where are the nearest exhibits may come about.

Maybe you wanted to see a cobra snake, but is there one in your nearest zoo? Perhaps the snake is not there but in another wildlife park just 30 minutes away. There just wasn’t a single place where one could view information about all of the zoos and their information in a single place.

The Vision Behind the App

That’s exactly what the visionaries at A Trip to the Zoo had in mind – a place where people could find information about all the zoos in the world. From types of animals and their species to types and numbers of exhibits. The founder wanted to make the information about every zoo accessible to people, making sure everyone is informed before they visit wildlife parks. With that mission, he reached out to Scopic to create a mobile application that would contain all the information and more.

The Scopic Solution

A Trip to the Zoo partnered with Scopic to build, design and release its iOS mobile application, making sure it’s responsive and easy to use. When creating the app, our specialists began with activities such as:
Smart Search Engine Optimization
Native-English Copywriting
Mobile App Design
iOS App Development
Google Maps/Earth API
And more!
We then continued working with A Trip to the Zoo and integrated Google Maps (Earth API), so that users can easily find zoos by searching their location and getting the information they were looking for.

Chemicals E-store

The platform that provides efficient accessibility of chemical products

Where Chemical Brands, Sellers and Buyers Meet.

Chemicals E-Store main

The Chemical Marketplace Challenge

Digitalization has become an integral part of most industries, including chemicals. This is not only as a whole but also in the process of buying and selling chemical products. Frequently, the communication between a customer and a provider is initiated online.

If the company doesn’t appear in the search engine results, it will directly affect its brand recognition and sales, also risking not being relevant in the market.

The increasing competition challenges the distribution companies to expand their products’ reach and, at the same time, keep their costs low. The chemical industry makes this even more challenging due to the high volatility and unanticipated variations in prices.

The Vision Behind the App

Chemicals E-store company saw the online environment as an opportunity and not as a threat. Its vision included constant improvement and reinvention for the chemical supply chain. To achieve that, the company aimed at creating a meeting point for both the consumer and the producer, cutting the middleman and offering convenience to the distribution process. Having all market participants centralized meant:

  • Optimization of costs
  • Recognizable competitive advantages
  • Avoidance of oversupply
  • Transactional efficiency

Naturally, the idea of the service could only be explored in the online world and through the support of developer teams that had previous experience on such platforms. Consequently, Chemicals E-store reached out to Scopic to begin their journey.

Chemicals E-Store vision
