The Challenge

Monitoring stocks with their full feed from the NASDAQ stock market requires a dynamic portal that needs to be updated every few minutes. That is a challenge in itself for most stock traders.

Most users need a real-time portal to help connect their trading accounts through the application and make trades on the market. Predicting which hot stocks to invest in can be hard to gauge without a clear view of stocks at all times.

The Vision

The founders of StocksToTrade were looking to build a user-friendly portal that would allow for real-time stock market analysis. They wanted users to be able to analyze stock markets based on cumulative and live data. They suggested the need for an interactive desktop application that would be designed for stock market users to monitor stocks with their full feed from the NASDAQ stock market. They wanted to implement cutting-edge technology that would use algorithms to help predict hot stocks for day traders.

The Scopic Solution

The Scopic team set about creating this application from scratch by using a few programming languages like RubyOnRails, C++, and MySQL. Our team fully developed this stock analysis software to follow and analyze stock markets based on cumulative and live data. Even though the backend is complex, the UI design is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing with the addition of 2D charting.

By integrating the app with institutional data providers and leading financial brokerages, we created a functionally superior tool that would not only display live stock market stats, but would also be able to predict hot stocks for traders.

If there is ever an emergency, most people call 911 for help from their mobile phones, hoping that the 911 operator would be able to locate their exact location. But not many are aware that cellphones have substantial limitations. So, if you can’t talk – which is usually the case when a crime is in progress or if you are amid a medical emergency – it may be challenging or downright impossible for emergency responders to locate you in time. This is a very widespread public hazard that is largely unrecognized.

The Vision Behind the App 

Creators of Share 911 envisioned a practical solution for emergency communication that would address this challenge. They wanted to build a helpful application to let users share the exact location of danger or request help from 911 and individuals nearby at the same time. They worked with the Scopic development team to build the platform from scratch.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic’s experienced developers created Share 911 – a social media platform for emergencies. The app is cross-platform and is available on desktop, web, and mobile.

Share 911 is a complete solution for on-site communication during emergencies such as fires, school shootings, medical emergencies, and more. It also provides a fast and reliable mechanism to account for missing people, communicate between critical staff, and directly notify first responders in real time.

Using Share 911 is very simple. In case of emergency, you need to select the type of emergency you are in and share your location through the application. Share 911 does the rest: contacts 911 on your behalf and informs the people nearby, ensuring that you get the necessary help, fast.

The Challenge

While different communication means are widely available today, many companies, including Scopic, still opt against using third-party tools. Effective internal communication allows for easy collaboration and sharing of ideas over chats, calls and video conferences. In addition, a branded company communication tool ensures the security of both company and client data, keeping all the correspondence within the organization.

The Vision

Our CEO Tim Burr, wanted to create a VoIP communication tool that would be developed with custom features by Scopic themselves. He wanted to have an application that would allow for group chats, one-on-one conversations, video/audio calls along with the option of screen sharing.

The Solution

Kreo was created by the Scopic team as a VoIP communication tool that’s similar to Skype. It was custom developed to ensure seamless and secure communication among Scopic employees around the world. Built with third-party chat engine Pubnub and call servicer Twilio, the app supports both one-on-one and group chats, voice and video calls, and screen-sharing. It also features an exclusive set of animated emojis to help users demonstrate reactions.

Scopic teams currently use Kreo for internal discussions; future versions of the app will see the inclusion of clients and other external parties. This app provides our workforce with a more streamlined and secure communication workflow.

The founders of Primary Endpoints wanted to provide their visitors with extensive information about clinical trials by creating a user-friendly and interactive website. They envisioned a platform that would be built for four main purposes:

To provide valuable answers to visitors seeking information about ongoing clinical trials,
To clearly present information regarding all trials that have been carried out in the past,
To make informed predictions about each trial outcome using advanced analytics,
To offer details about any trials scheduled to take place in the near future.

Furthermore, they saw the creation of a website as a window of opportunity to open up important discussions regarding the topic of clinical trials.

The Scopic Solution

Using Node.JS and a number of other technologies, the Scopic website developers built a user-friendly website from scratch. This product features a comprehensive clinical trial database, comfortably served on a state-of-the-art web platform. It allows visitors to follow trial progress easily on a customized timeline, filter data conveniently and quickly identify actionable information.

The Primary Endpoints website also encourages users to join focused topical discussions with peers who are looking for business opportunities and wish to connect with the gurus in biotech investment.

The Vision Behind the App

The company’s vision was to provide road administrators with a powerful tool that would help them detect traffic jams, car accidents, and other issues in the city’s transportation system. Their main objective was to improve road safety, combat traffic congestion, and aid the road administrators in their daily decision making. So they reached out to Scopic to start the work on the app.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic developed the Traffic Prediction App from scratch. It is a web application that combines a decision tree of different road conditions with a real-time updating map. This solution allows road administrators to stay up-to-date with the information about the city’s transport network, helping them better plan the available transportation capacity.
The app features a free-drawing decision tree, real-time map with custom markers, and isomorphic map markers.

Often people have to ask around, making the process very time-consuming and inefficient. Finding expert coaches that fit the team’s requirements and are available on a specific schedule adds more challenges to the problem.

The Vision Behind the Website

The Women’s Collegiate Basketball company recognizes such challenges in women’s basketball. They sought to find coaches that would help girls improve their athletic performance and reach their individual goals. Finding perfect trainers, managing their schedules and handling their payments was something that the team itself shouldn’t worry about. So, they decided to take the matter in their own hands and checked in with Scopic to create a proper solution.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic cooperated with the company and built the Women’s Collegiate Basketball Site (WCBS) application. Through the platform, the company is able to offer paid services to stakeholders. The platform ensures connections with desired coaches and consultants who, in addition, offer help with organizing tournaments.

The main goal of the WCBS application is to serve as a coach profile data center for company users who are searching for coaches and coach consultants in the field of women’s basketball. The user intuitively achieves that through 3 simple steps:

In an attempt to capture the essence and heart of her work online, the founder of Intuition Background hoped to create a preview of her hand-painted backdrops in order to make it easier for photographers to visualize and select their desired choice with confidence.

Scopic got to work to turn the Intuition Backgrounds studio preview into reality. Using Web frameworks and other technologies, our hand-picked team of web developers created a platform to integrate with the Intuition Backgrounds Shopify store.

In business, profitability is always a main, or even the main, objective. One of the main issues associated with productivity is how to track profits and internal client work accurately. With so much to keep track of, project managers may find it difficult to analyze, leverage, and track the profitability of each client they are working with precisely.

If they were able to do this with a tool, they could prioritize the work and come up with more upselling opportunities. This would also enable them to manage their employees better.

The Vision Behind the Tool

Our team at Scopic faced this exact problem and realized we needed a better way to track our client projects. With employees in different locations all over the world, you can imagine that effective project management is vital to our success.

We came up with the idea of a tool that would allow us to input information of current and past projects and would help us visually understand the bottom line of each job. To bring this idea to reality, we turned to our own, innovative team to build a tool that would do just that – show us how profitable each project was.

The Scopic Solution

Our development team then came up with our Client Profitability Tool, which we consistently use to track our ongoing business with clients. The tool pulls information from internal, third-party systems we use (like Quickbooks for example), analyzes the data, and provides our project managers with charts.

These charts give our team leaders a better understanding of the profitability of current tasks and jobs in dollar amounts or percentages. With this tool, managers can also assess our return during precise time periods or specific employees.
