The Redesign Challenge Summarized

LasikPlus is a company that offers laser eye surgery to patients. Their vision centers are distributed all over the US, and they are amongst the pioneers in the market to provide such medical technology known as LASIK. Making the life-changing decision to go through with laser eye surgery requires a lot of thought and thorough evaluation. It can also be quite a daunting process for patients.

Because of this, it is vital for a company like LasikPlus to have a website with curated and credible content that ensures the visitor’s experience is safe, comfortable and informative. If LasikPlus want to showcase the industry-leading value they can provide to their potential customers, it is essential that they take the right approach to enhance their website’s user-experience.

The Vision Behind the Website

Since the founding of the company, the LasikPlus mission has remained the same – to be strong members of their local communities, committed to providing patients with amazing care and customer service, from some of the most experienced LASIK doctors in the United States, using state-of-the-art technology. The goal of the company is to democratize top-quality LASIK with some of the very best LASIK doctors and advanced technology. LasikPlus wanted to become thought leaders in their industry by redesigning their website to address the visitors’ needs by focusing on educational information, access and affordability. In their search for a reliable Custom Healthcare Software Development, they found Scopic.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic and LasikPlus combined their efforts to present a user-friendly and unique meeting point for website visitors who are hoping to find out more about laser eye services. First, LasikPlus provided Scopic with their own UX/UI. Then based on the provided mockups we created a custom theme. Using the plugin Advanced Custom Fields, our web app experts built several templates with different building blocks to match the specifications provided by the client. Concentrating on both the code and visual appearance, our team restructured the pages UX-wise – turning LasikPlus’ vision into a fully-responsive and engaging website for visitors to find out more about laser eye surgery.

LasikPlus’ top priority was to enhance the user experience. With this in mind, Scopic made sure to feature geo-located content – offering the closest vision center on the home page according to where the user is located, with an added possibility to change the current location via Google Search Autocomplete.

The Medical Imaging Challenge

Medical imaging is critically important in the diagnosis and treatment planning of vascular diseases. Though there have been many technological advancements in the field of medical imaging in recent years, there are still certain challenges and drawbacks. Some of the most obvious ones include inconveniently long scan times and expensive and nonportable scanning equipment.

The Vision Behind the App

The idea behind Endovantage was to build a powerful web application that creates detailed 3D visualizations of patients’ vasculature. The easy-to-use tool aims to assist medical practitioners involved in diagnostic imaging and help them come up with best treatment scenarios for patients.

The Scopic Solution

Built for use by medical professionals, Endovantage is a high-powered, cloud-based medical modeling tool that radically improves endovascular device design and development. It analyzes patients’ CT scans to generate custom 3D models of vasculature, providing crucial anatomical measurements and visualizations far more quickly and accurately than physical testing. In order to enhance patient relations, Endovantage also simulates multiple treatment scenarios based on available devices and/or deployment strategies.

Using the ThreeJS library and HTML5, the Scopic team designed this complex frontend 3D viewer to communicate securely with a pre-existing backend 3D mesh generator, and developed a special format to store sensitive medical information within the app.

The industry of buying and selling pets has not always been transparent. In the past it was a great challenge to consistently have access to all the relevant information about each pet in one place.

Many pet store owners struggled to find a comprehensive database of weights, ages, vaccinations, sire and dam information, breeder reviews and pictures for each pet they were interested in.

The Vision

In the spirit of uniting owners to their dream pets, the founders of PBT wanted to create an eye-catching website with a user interface that all types of visitors would be able to cope with. They wanted to build a marketplace that would be both easy to access and reflect transparency for buyers and sellers alike.

The Scopic Solution

The Scopic web development team listened to PBT Marketplace’s vision and began building a web application to facilitate communication between pet store owners and pet breeders. Using CSS, Net MVC, JQuery and Javascript, our team developed a transparent marketplace where users can now get information for every single pet available.

We were especially mindful of the eye-catching, easy-to-use interface which enables all visitors to interact with the platform and ultimately unite pets with their rightful owners.

The Vision

The founders of Fire Mission Alpha wanted to help people who love to shoot – to do it better, to be more effective, and to be more informed. They decided to create a web resource that helps people improve their shooting skills through the easy-to-follow video format.

Founders of Fire Mission Alpha reached out to Scopic to bring the project into reality. The Scopic developers built a clean WordPress website that educates users about recreational shooting. The website features multiple instructional videos about shooting: from teaching the ideal pistol stance to performing pistol magazine changes.

The Farm Challenge Summarized

The process of buying and selling cattle demands careful management skills and analytical thinking from all those involved. When assessors analyze the data, they need to work out which percentage of cattle has an acceptable score as well as the details of the scores given to each animal in the sample. Notably, this is a time-consuming process. With a wealth of data available in the cattle management sector, it can be hard to know what exactly to focus on and the best way to record or calculate the information.

And although it is time-consuming, without completing these kinds of reports, it is impossible to accurately compare the herd’s results against others in the market without this process.

The Vision Behind the App

The intention was to have a place where assessors and vendors could easily manage cattle assessment data and thus provide more selling or purchasing opportunities. The idea was to create an app that could help participants identify opportunities to save money while expanding the size of their herds while grasping new market opportunities. So, On Farm reached out to Scopic to collaborate on building a platform in the hopes to drive measurable results and make the market more accessible.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic built the entire portal from scratch. The web application includes a number of useful features that allow cattle assessors to easily manage cattle assessment data for their clients. Our UI and UX experts made sure the data stored in the application was presented in an easy-to-read format. The platform also displays the data in an external selling platform to potential buyers of beef cattle on a per-lot basis.

From design to functionality, this web portal took inspiration from the Cattle Assessment Manual to ensure all features would be fully optimized and useful to cattle assessors.
