The Medical Data Tracking Challenge

When our medical history is not documented, our previous consultations or hospitalizations become a vague recollection of past events. Without complete medical data, doctors are often left to guess and hypothesize on patient’s treatment, while patients can forget appointments and when to take the supplements. Keeping track can be challenging due to:

The lack of online portals for doctors
The lack of a unified system with access to historical data
Lost prescription slips or medication instructions
Carelessness and negligence from both the doctor and the patient’s side

The Vision Behind the App

The company aimed at creating a solution that allowed users to securely store and organize health records, medication schedules, and medical appointments. They offered the market a way to take the frustration out of healthcare recordkeeping and coordination by automatizing the whole process. The company believed that continuous improvement and robust feature integration was the key to the app’s success. So, they contacted us and furthered their ideas.

The Scopic Solution

Medical Records Tracker, the company’s iOS and Android mobile app, helps family members and care providers keep track of healthcare regimens for multiple people with calendar integrations and timely mobile alerts. Brought to a trusted custom mobile app development company, in disrepair, Scopic refactored the code, fixed bugs, improved the UI, and updated key functionalities. We also created in-app purchases and ads. In preparation for Medical Records Tracker’s release, Scopic’s marketing experts created a landing page and crafted the app description with ASO keywords to optimize downloads and user engagement.

If there is ever an emergency, most people call 911 for help from their mobile phones, hoping that the 911 operator would be able to locate their exact location. But not many are aware that cellphones have substantial limitations. So, if you can’t talk – which is usually the case when a crime is in progress or if you are amid a medical emergency – it may be challenging or downright impossible for emergency responders to locate you in time. This is a very widespread public hazard that is largely unrecognized.

The Vision Behind the App 

Creators of Share 911 envisioned a practical solution for emergency communication that would address this challenge. They wanted to build a helpful application to let users share the exact location of danger or request help from 911 and individuals nearby at the same time. They worked with the Scopic development team to build the platform from scratch.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic’s experienced developers created Share 911 – a social media platform for emergencies. The app is cross-platform and is available on desktop, web, and mobile.

Share 911 is a complete solution for on-site communication during emergencies such as fires, school shootings, medical emergencies, and more. It also provides a fast and reliable mechanism to account for missing people, communicate between critical staff, and directly notify first responders in real time.

Using Share 911 is very simple. In case of emergency, you need to select the type of emergency you are in and share your location through the application. Share 911 does the rest: contacts 911 on your behalf and informs the people nearby, ensuring that you get the necessary help, fast.

There are numerous weather apps that inform on the current state of the atmosphere. However, they often lack powerful differentiating features. They are limited in their specific information regarding variables such as:

Wind velocity
Barometric pressure

In addition, they are often not updated in real-time, failing to warn adverse or destructive weather conditions.

The Vision Behind the App

Storm Chasers aimed to provide a solution for all the people that love watching mother nature in action or just like to stay informed when severe weather is near. The company aimed to allow users to chase tornadoes from the comfort of their couch. Their vision was to become the largest storm chasing team around with 100s of members. This could help in achieving their goal of building an interactive livestream solution.

The company was familiar with our experience on the matter, and entrusted us to fulfill that vision.

The Scopic Solution

Storm Chasers is a mobile application that allows users to post and show storms on Zoom Radar maps. The application connects people who want to stay informed about weather conditions, as users can chase storms and see video streams from stormy areas in real time. Building the application from the ground up allowed Scopic’s team to develop this mobile app – which was originally a web app – with technologies such as “hybrid” Ionic framework, Quickblox (for instant messaging), AdMob (for Ads), Google Maps, and Cordova. After the release, Scopic worked on making continuous improvements to the application.

With this genius, time-saving idea, they teamed up with Scopic to bring it to the movie-loving people.

The Scopic Solution

My Flix List helps the user create a prioritized list of every movie ever made based on 12 user-controlled parameters. Starting at the top of the list, you can indicate whether you’ve seen, want to see, or are not interested in seeing each individual movie.

If you’re not familiar with a movie, you can watch the trailer, read the synopsis or viewer reviews, and find other valuable info about the movie right inside the app. Since the list is prioritized based on your tastes, you will quickly establish a ‘wish list’ of hundreds of movies that you want to watch and easily find where they are streaming. The list will automatically update as new movies are released. The My Flix List movie rating process is fun and can be addictive.

Nowadays, there are many online marketplaces that allow for C2C buying and selling of products. There are also a number of platforms that serve as a place where people can search for and find a specialist in a certain field and contract them for a particular service. But rarely are the two combined.

The lack of a comprehensive platform makes the overall experience more difficult for users since they have to use at least two different services and possibly a third for payment purposes. So, the challenge is to create a referral-based marketplace for selling goods and services that is all-in-one.

The Vision Behind the App

The company behind the PeepsTree app wanted to build an app that connected clients to specialists looking to freelance their services, as well as create a platform where personal items could be bought and sold.

In addition, they envisioned the app to include a referral feature so people could recommend one another for certain jobs based on previously completed projects. With these goals in mind, they reached out to Scopic to work together on developing the application.

PeepsTree is a cross-platform virtual referral application for acquiring goods and services. The app allows for specific products and services to be displayed to a user’s Facebook list of friends if they are in the market for that set of products or services. PeepsTree also lets users invite new people to join with a Facebook integration.
