The Vision Behind the App

FitStation was created on a mission to build stronger connections and raise community spirit. Founder, Roger Williams, wanted to build the bridge of communication for the fitness world. He wanted to ensure fitness leaders, gurus, enthusiasts and beginners alike, had a space to join together and motivate one another to achieve their personal goals. So he worked with Scopic to craft a supportive fitness network that allows fitness leaders to provide support from within the pockets of their tribes, no matter where they are.

The Scopic Solution

FitStation joined forces with Scopic’s fitness app development services to build, design and market this cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android users. Developing this app from scratch, our mobile experts began by building in features to help with everyday fitness such as:

Unlimited group creation

And more!

We then kept the app growing and socially active by developing a fitness social network with a newsfeed built into the product. This enhanced user interaction and gave FitStation members the ability to create their own tribes.

Maintaining a healthy balanced diet can be tricky, especially when trying to follow a specific diet or aiming to reach your nutrition goals. And if you have any household allergies to throw into the mix, preparing the right food to achieve your objectives is even more challenging.

The Idea Behind the App

The founder and owner of Recipe IQ had a vision: to give home cooks more control over their family’s health by easily extracting the nutritional information from the image of ANY recipe. He wanted to empower anyone and everyone to eat healthier meals, by taking the mystery out of a recipe’s ingredients.

The Scopic Solution

RecipeIQ was built by the Scopic development team as a mobile app that is compatible with both iOS and Android. The application allows for the extraction of all the nutrition facts from print and online recipes. Additionally, users can not only scan/take photos of recipes but also add their own recipes. It pulls ingredients to calculate their combined nutritional values, using an advanced database search algorithm.

Scopic’s team also introduced an additional database to allow users to add custom ingredients and improve the accuracy of nutritional calculations. This innovative recipe analyzer app helps home cooks maintain a balanced diet, and empowers dieters to cook with confidence.

The result is a simple tool that allows agents to customize their logo, property photos, color palette, custom questions, and follow up text messages. The app also verifies every lead and automatically extracts their background information to unlock marketing personalization. The Zapier integration connects Block Party with over 2000 CRMs and marketing apps.

The Challenge

Living a healthy lifestyle involves all sorts of activities, such as working out, that brings balance to our physical and mental states. However, even though people are aware of most of the benefits, a lot of us find it hard to practice such habits consistently.

In fitness, developing healthy habits can be hard, and often requires a change of mindset. Regular exercises can positively impact our lives in many ways. However, people don’t always prioritize working out, because their hectic routines and important tasks of the day tend to get in the way. Many of us lack the needed motivation when results aren’t quickly visible and as a result, we give up easily and make excuses.

The Vision Behind the App

The main focus of the Gorilla Workout Team has always been to implement strategies that motivate people to live healthier lives. They wanted to create a custom fitness app that would endorse a world that embraces the importance of working out. Keen to connect and inspire a wide range of people, the founders wanted to create customized routines that would be specific to each person’s body shape, fitness level and goals.

Putting health above everything else is essential to a balanced life. Gorilla Workout aims to encourage people to feel like their best self – from head to toe.

They fervently believed their endeavors wouldn’t go to waste, so they approached Scopic to turn their vision into action.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic undertook the custom fitness app development, design, and an end-to-end marketing strategy for Gorilla Workout. The app was awarded Apple’s iPad Health & Fitness App of the Year for 2011, and has been a leading fitness app ever since. This daily bodyweight exercise app features hundreds of easy-to-follow workouts with video demonstrations by expert trainers. Built with native programming to optimize performance, this cross platform mobile app works seamlessly on iPad, iWatch, and iOS devices, as well as Android tablets and phones.

Over a multiyear partnership, Scopic’s team has led Gorilla Workout through many successful updates. In a December 2017 release, we redesigned the user interface to optimize usability and rewrote the app store descriptions. This successfully improved the app’s rankings for popular daily workout keywords on Google Play and the Apple Store. Scopic’s marketing team researched, wrote, designed, and developed the Gorilla Workout website, and we continue to enhance user engagement through all social media platforms.

Many people have two phones nowadays: one for work and one for their personal life. However, it can be a hassle checking and coordinating text messages, emails, alerts and notifications on each phone.

In addition, people have to keep track of replies, and potential deadlines. Not to mention the physical inconvenience of carrying both, as well as having twice as many batteries to charge.

The Vision Behind the App

AutoForward SMS is a mobile app for Android, designed for users who have more than one phone, but do not want to carry both. The idea behind the app was to facilitate the forwarding of SMS messages, emails and low battery alerts from one phone to the other. The founders wanted users to be able to reply from Gmail, reply remotely from either phone, and create tasks to forward certain messages from specific numbers to particular contacts or groups.
The AutoForward SMS team is innovative in style. Always on the lookout to improve the application they had built and enhance the user experience, they approached Scopic to improve the apps performance.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic started working with this client in October 2017 to fix a crash, work on some updates, and make improvements to the app. We enhanced the UI of AutoForward SMS as well as fixed bugs, and implemented a 3rd party currency service for conversions.

Our team also provided full-cycle development services for the second application of AutoForward SMS, which serves as a pairing app for remote reply.

Scopic’s intention behind the Datability Web App was to create a tool that would help teachers track progress with features allowing to add new schools and manage subscriptions. The team at Scopic believed in building an application that would make the process of grading and tracking progress more manageable.

The Scopic Solution

Datability Web App is an online data collection tool for Individualized Education Plans (IEP) in special education. It allows teachers to keep track of each student’s goals, behaviours, and academic performance. Teachers can then export the data and use it for reporting purposes. The app helps deliver personalized student assessments that include graphs and detailed notes to parents and colleagues.
