Maintaining a healthy balanced diet can be tricky, especially when trying to follow a specific diet or aiming to reach your nutrition goals. And if you have any household allergies to throw into the mix, preparing the right food to achieve your objectives is even more challenging.

The Idea Behind the App

The founder and owner of Recipe IQ had a vision: to give home cooks more control over their family’s health by easily extracting the nutritional information from the image of ANY recipe. He wanted to empower anyone and everyone to eat healthier meals, by taking the mystery out of a recipe’s ingredients.

The Scopic Solution

RecipeIQ was built by the Scopic development team as a mobile app that is compatible with both iOS and Android. The application allows for the extraction of all the nutrition facts from print and online recipes. Additionally, users can not only scan/take photos of recipes but also add their own recipes. It pulls ingredients to calculate their combined nutritional values, using an advanced database search algorithm.

Scopic’s team also introduced an additional database to allow users to add custom ingredients and improve the accuracy of nutritional calculations. This innovative recipe analyzer app helps home cooks maintain a balanced diet, and empowers dieters to cook with confidence.

The Photographers Challenge

Even the most amazing photographs can be hard to sell online. Why? Because before taking a leap of faith and investing in wall art, most of us want to be able to visualize what each photo will look like on our walls first. After all, it’s one thing to see a thumb-nail sized photo from your computer screen, and a completely other thing to envision it in full-size and above the mantelpiece of your own home.

The Artist’s Vision

As a portrait photographer herself, the founder of Shoot and Sell wanted to help other professionals to gain more customers by showcasing the beauty of their art in realistic settings. She set out to help photographers place their work over eye-catching and custom wall backgrounds. By doing so, her clients would be able to help their customers visualize each photograph before purchasing. In doing so, the founder knew she would be able to help her fellow photographers to dramatically increase their wall-art sales.

The Scope Solution

Turning to Scopic for support, the founder of Shoot and Sell painted the picture of what she was trying to achieve. Listening attentively, we selected an expert team of mobile app developers to create this application for both Android and iOS devices.

Building this unique photography sales software from scratch, our team used cross-platform development techniques to ensure it would be accessible to all mobile users. Not only can users now envision different images on the walls of their own home, but they can also save their photographs directly onto dropbox too.

The Vision Behind the App

From the makers of the best-selling fitness app Gorilla Workout comes Gorilla Weightlifting. The founders envisioned a mobile app that would be an accomplice and trainer for in-the-gym and at-home resistance training. They wanted to build an app that would have over 125 weighted and body-weight exercises used throughout all programs, and would have specialized programs for specific goals such as beastly bench press or superstrength training.

Scopic, with its custom mobile app development services, helped create the Gorilla Weightlifting app with custom workout programs and features for its users.

The Voter Registration Application Challenge

Americans are known for being active participants in both local and national elections. However, in the past registering to vote has been a hassle for first-time voters. The challenge then becomes how to create an accessible application that allows US citizens to register to vote.

The Vision Behind the App

The vision behind Register 2 Vote was to build a cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android allowing users to register for voting in the local and national US elections straight from their mobile device. This simplified registration process would in turn increase voter participation rates. With this in mind, Scopic developed the architecture and UX/UI design to be intuitive and attractive on different mobile devices.

The Scopic Solution

Register 2 Vote is an example of a mobile application that lets users register for voting in minutes. Simply click a photo of your driver’s license for identity confirmation. The application will then generate a QR code that can be used to vote at the closest polling station. Using GPS, the location of the nearest polling station can also be shown in the app.
